Tory Lanez remains under house arrest under electronic surveillance until his trial for the Megan Thee Stallion shooting.
In a Los Angeles court on Wednesday (Oct 26, 22), Judge David Hereford ruled that the rapper — whose real name is Morningstar Peterson — will be slapped on the ground between Oct. 28 and Nov. 28. Period is restricted and monitored.
According to TMZ, Deputy District Attorney Alexander Botter believes Lanez is a danger to the public, noting that he has violated an order prohibiting him from entering within 100 yards of the 27-year-old rap star.
Herriford also denied a plea for the accused to be held without bail following the September attack on August Alsina in Chicago.
Lanez’s attorney, Shawn Holley, denied the motion after arguing that “the charges are contested.”
Lanez, 30, faces two felony charges of assault with a semi-automatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle.
He was also charged with “personally causing grievous bodily harm”.
However, he has previously denied the allegations, claiming in the song “Money Over Fallout” that he was framed.
In April, he breached a protective order, meaning he was not allowed to contact Meghan or share pre-trial facts about the case.
The music star broke the order, appearing to address Meghan in a tweet in February, where he was told not to use social media to contact the producers of “The Sweetest Pie.”
His attorney, Shawn Holley, also argued that another tweet from DJ Akademiks that month claiming that no Lanez DNA had been found on the weapon allegedly used to shoot Meghan was in fact not. Right, because the investigation found that there were four DNA contributors on the site. pistol, so inconclusive.
Laez was charged with a felony for allegedly shooting Megan in the foot after a party at Kylie Jenner’s Hollywood Hills home in July 2020 , so he pleaded not guilty.
If convicted, he could face up to 22 years and eight months in prison.
