Tourism Malta and Manchester United renew partnership agreement

Tourism Malta will once again be the Official Destination Partner of Manchester United Football Club, as Tourism Malta (MTA) and the club have announced that they will be renewing their partnership agreement with the club.

Manchester United and Malta have strong links, characterized by a long history, with Malta proudly hosting the oldest international Manchester United fan club.

Through this partnership agreement, the VisitMalta brand will benefit from strong exposure to club home games and digital marketing channels, social media as well as global print media.

News of the renewal was announced at a special press conference at Old Trafford, Manchester, in the presence of Tourism Minister Clayton Bartolo, Tourism Permanent Secretary Anthony Gatt and MTA Chief Executive Carlo Micallef.

“Reaffirming Tourism Malta as Manchester United’s official destination partner will lead to unprecedented levels of visibility and marketing coordination for the Maltese Islands, not only in Europe but also in other long-haul markets such as the Americas, Asia and the Middle East. I am optimistic that this partnership The agreement will solidify Malta’s prospects for establishing itself as a centre of excellence in sports tourism over the next few years,” said Clayton Bartolo.
