Tourist walks through Spanish mountains with wolves in forest

[ad_1]

Spain is a popular tourist destination in Europe, as the country is home to several whimsical modernist landmarks. But what about walking through the mountains with a pack of wolves? Sounds unique, right? Yes.

Miguel Angel Gonzalez Carrillo of southern Spain runs this unique tourist attraction, where he lets tourists walk with wolves.

According to media reports, Carrillo has raised three wolves. He apparently offered small groups the chance to walk with the animals in Instincion, a municipality in Andalusia’s Almeria province, according to independent British media reports.

The report further mentions that he also took his wolf pack to the city to work with people diagnosed with autism and Alzheimer’s disease.

Euro News reported that the animals were registered with Andalusia’s Animal Identification Registry.

As quoted by Euronews, Gonzalez Carrillo, the apparent leader of the wolf pack, said: “They are domesticated, but they also behave wildly. They behave like a pack. Real wolves: the games they play, the way a mother teaches her cubs and all that is part of their instinct.”

The Spanish Land Animal Register states that there are approximately 2,000 Iberian wolves in Spain.
