Kuwait City, 16 February: The Interior Ministry has announced the launch of a project to link traffic violations in Kuwait and the UAE in order to enforce decisions by the interior ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council member states, Al-Rai Daily reported.
According to a statement from the General Directorate of Security Relations and Media, Major General Khalifa Hareb, UAE Undersecretary of the Interior, received Major General Jamal Al-Sayegh, Assistant Undersecretary for Transport and Operations and Head of the Delegation of the Technical Team Connecting Transport, at the inauguration of the project Behavior.
Al-Sayegh affirmed that the project is the starting point for connecting all other security services, which will help improve system efficiency and security among GCC countries.
According to the statement, it took eight months to complete the connection work, and according to the schedule of all Gulf countries, the transportation system will be connected in the near future, using Gulf technology, and strengthening cooperation and coordination among GCC countries.
Colonel Osama Al-Wahib, Acting Director General of the Information Systems Directorate, Colonel Haqouqi Khaled Al-Adwani, Director of the Technical Office of the Traffic Affairs and Operations Department, and representatives from the Traffic Investigation Department attended the launch of the project. Colonel Haqqi Faisal Al-Ali, Colonel Bashar Al-Sayed, Assistant Director, Information Systems Department, and Lieutenant Colonel Nasser Al-Daihani from Directorate General of Ministerial Councils and Committees.
