Traveling to the UAE from a restricted country/region?The following are the flight rules to Dubai, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah-News

From August 30th, the UAE welcomes people with tourist visas, entry permits and other types of electronic visas

People with any type of visa can now fly to the UAE from countries that previously restricted travel.

The UAE opened to residence visa holders from restricted countries on August 5, but from August 30 it welcomes holders of tourist visas, entry permits and other types of electronic visas.

However, travel procedures and rules vary from emirate to emirate. For example, Sharjah requires tourists to register before traveling, while Dubai does not.

Below is the inside story of travel rules from restricted countries to Dubai, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah.

>> Dubai

According to Dubai-based Emirates Airlines, passengers with newly issued residence or work visas, short-term or long-term visas, visitor visas or visas on arrival can travel. The following regulations apply to passengers departing from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa and Uganda.

-No pre-travel approval from ICA or GDRFA is required.

-According to multiple tweets posted by the airline’s customer service account Emirates Support, Covid vaccination is not mandatory.

-The result of the Covid19 PCR test performed within 48 hours before the trip was negative. The test must be performed in an approved medical institution, and the result must have a QR code.

-A rapid PCR test report with a QR code for testing at the departure airport within six hours of departure.

>> Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah

In accordance with the instructions issued by the UAE authorities, Sharjah-based Air Arabia and Air India Express issued the following guidelines for e-visa holders to Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah:

-Passengers who have been vaccinated against Covid on an electronic visa can travel to Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah.

-All passengers arriving in Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah with a newly issued e-visa must register before departure: https://smartservices.ica.gov.ae/echannels/web/client/guest/index.html#/ Register arrival

-They must be fully vaccinated with the Covid-19 vaccine approved by the WHO.

-You must provide proof of vaccination when you leave.

-Passengers must undergo the Covid-19 PCR test within 48 hours of the flight arrival time.

-They also need to perform a rapid PCR test at the airport before departure.

-They will undergo another PCR test in Sharjah.
