Minor tremors were felt in the UAE after a 5.3-magnitude earthquake struck Iran Thursday night.
The National Weather Center said the quake hit the southern part of the country shortly before 6 p.m.
It said residents of the UAE “slightly felt” the seismic event but had “no impact”.
Some residents of Dubai took to Twitter to recount experiencing mild aftereffects.
