Trend Micro, a global leader in cybersecurity solutions, has partnered with Moro Hub, a subsidiary of Digital Dewa, the digital arm of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (PJSC), to host a threat hunting workshop.
To strengthen the country’s digital infrastructure and raise awareness of cybersecurity, the workshop was held at the Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach, UAE, with 25 participants. The event consists of a competition consisting of two separate phases: Phase 1: Offense and Phase 2: Defense.
IT professionals have the opportunity to face simulated cybersecurity challenges, determine the best course of action, and demonstrate their ability to find cyberthreats and protect digital assets. Competitors collaborate to develop and execute strategies to effectively detect and block attacks, while competing against each other during the event.

ransomware attack
Trend Micro’s 2022 Security Predictions: Towards New Momentum states that in 2022 threat actors will continue to focus on ransomware attacks targeting data center workloads, regardless of location, and exposed services to exploit large numbers of people to continue working remotely. Thus, platforms like the Cyber Defense Challenge provide an ideal opportunity to further strengthen the protection of the nation’s digital ecosystem from modern threats. arab trade news agency
