Ahead of former President Donald Trump‘s anticipated surrender at Fulton County Jail in connection with charges tied to his post-2020 election actions, his supporters amassed outside.
The crowd grew throughout the day. Unlike previous arrests, this time Trump is turning himself in at a troubled jail, with authorities expected to take a booking photo. Supporters held signs and flags, expressing their unwavering support.
Despite the politically charged indictments, these backers stood by Trump, believing his election result concerns were legitimate.
The Fulton County Jail’s location in northwest Atlanta has witnessed tightened security due to the former president’s impending booking. While the jail is usually accessible to the public and media, restrictions were imposed, and the atmosphere remained relatively calm.
Notably, although others in the jail await trial, Trump is not likely to spend time there due to its infrastructure issues and overcrowding.
