Turkey cancels mandatory quarantine regulations for fully vaccinated passengers from India-News

[ad_1]

Travelers must take the second dose at least 14 days before the travel date

The Turkish Embassy in New Delhi informed on Saturday that Turkey has announced that from September 4, fully vaccinated travelers from India will no longer be subject to the mandatory 14-day quarantine.

The announcement will relax travel restrictions for travelers 12 years of age and older who travel from India or stay in India in the past 14 days. Vaccines approved by WHO or the Turkish government are covered by this exemption.

In addition to the vaccines approved by the WHO, the Turkish government approved vaccines including Pfizer Biontech, Sputnik V and Sinovac. Similarly, travelers must take the second dose at least 14 days before the travel date (if one dose is sufficient for Johnson & Johnson).

Indian travelers vaccinated with Covishield will also be allowed to travel to Turkey. Once Covaxin is approved by the WHO, travelers who have received the vaccine will also be able to visit Turkey.

Passengers who are fully vaccinated must also submit their PCR test negative report 72 hours before departure to avoid isolation. Passengers who have not been vaccinated must undergo mandatory quarantine at the hotel or the place mentioned in the statement for 10 days.

As of September 4, the Turkish government has successfully vaccinated 79% of the population over the age of 18 with the first dose of the vaccine, and 62% of the population over the age of 18 have been vaccinated twice.

Despite the pandemic, the number of tourists in Turkey from January to July 2021 is still 11.9 million. In July 2021, 4.3 million international tourists visited Turkey.
