The country’s national carrier, Turkish Airlines, plans to increase the frequency of flights to Istanbul from Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah to enhance connectivity in response to growing customer demand.
Currently, Turkish Airlines operates three daily flights from Dubai to Istanbul Airport, which will increase to four daily flights from October 2022, as well as three weekly flights to Sabi Hagokcen Airport operated by Anadolujet. Flight TK765 will depart from Dubai (DXB) at 16:00 and flight TK764 will depart from Istanbul at 08:15.
From October 2022, the airline’s daily flights from Abu Dhabi to Istanbul Airport will increase to 10 weekly flights. Flight TK867 will depart from Abu Dhabi at 07:55 on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Flight TK866 will depart Istanbul at 01:20 on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
The flag carrier will also restart flights to Sharjah on 3 October 2022, three times a week. Currently, Anadolujet operates four weekly flights from Sabiha Gokcen Airport to Sharjah. Flight TK755 will depart from Sharjah Airport to Istanbul Airport at 07:40 on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, while flight TK754 will depart from Istanbul Airport to Sharjah on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 01:15.
With these increased frequencies, the total number of flights from the UAE has increased to 48 weekly flights, providing passengers with more access and a more seamless travel experience.
