Well, it looks like Tyga won’t face felony charges in the domestic violence arrest involving ex-girlfriend Camaryn Swanson. Less than two weeks after Camaryn shared photos showing a possible reconciliation between her and Tyga, the high-level charge is out the window . According to TMZ, the Los Angeles County District Attorney passed the case to the LA City Attorney’s Office. This means Tyga won’t be charged with a felony because only the district attorney’s office can reportedly process felonies.
Previous Allegations And Arrest
As previously reported, Tyga surrendered himself to police in October 2021. Police arrested Tyga on felony domestic violence. However, he was later released from custody on a $50,000 bond.
Initial TMZ reports said ex-girlfriend Camaryn arrived at Tyga’s home uninvited at 3 am and a screaming match and physical violence occurred once she was inside. However, Camaryn later released a graphic photo displaying an intense bruised eye. She tagged TMZ in the photo saying, “I’ve been emotionally, mentally, and physically abused and I’m not hiding it anymore.” Camaryn also shared a text thread that shows a received text saying “Cars downstairs” sometime after 2:55 am Then, the thread shows a received text at 7:14 am that shows three sad emojis and a text saying, “hurts so much.”
“@TMZ I didn’t show up “screaming” or uninvited,” Camaryn wrote along with the text thread screenshot. “When I tried to leave he physically assaulted and refused to let me leave for hours.”
She also expressed feeling “heartbroken,” saying she “didn’t think [the person receiving the text was] capable to ever do this to me” in the last message seen in the screenshot.
Camaryn And Tyga Seemingly Reconcile
Camaryn shared photos from her 23rd birthday to Instagram on January 25. Along with a stunning, all-white cake, balloons and rose centerpieces, Camaryn posted a photo sitting next to Tyga. In the photo, Camaryn rests her head on Tyga’s shoulder and they both show their pearly whites. The two appear comfortable, but no additional details was shared about the encounter.
For now, Tyga will be playing the waiting game. While he won’t face a felony charge, there is still the possibility of a misdemeanor.
