UAE: 3 platforms integrated to create massive medical records database, helping doctors deliver better care – News

‘Riayati’ platform poised to elevate healthcare experience in the country, helping professionals better care for patients

The successful integration of ‘Riayati’, National Unified Medical Record (NUMR), ‘Malaffi’ and ‘Nabidh’ platforms was announced on the second day of Arab Health.

Currently, the platform hosts 1.9 billion medical records from 9.5 million patients and is accessible to more than 90,000 healthcare providers at 3,057 healthcare facilities.

UAE health authorities, including the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), the Abu Dhabi Department of Health (DoH) and the Dhabi Health Authority (DHA), collaborated to electronically link the three platforms.

Speaking at a press conference held during the health event, Dr Ahmed Ali Al Dashti said, “The successful integration of ‘Riayati’, ‘Malaffi’ and ‘Nabidh’ is considered a remarkable Healthcare providers are able to make better healthcare decisions based on the needs of their patients and ensure a better healthcare experience for their citizens and residents.”

Enhanced Healthcare Experience

In his speech, Dr Hamed Ali Al Hashemi said: “The integration of the three platforms in the UAE is a step in the right direction towards strengthening the health and safety of the community. It will make the country an outstanding model for the exchange of health information, which is influenced by other countries in the region. High praise for the health system.”

Al Hashemi added: “Data plays a vital role in strengthening health systems. It helps doctors make decisions that are perfectly appropriate for patients and allows us to turn them into valuable information for planning and initiatives, To develop policy and improve the overall health of the society. This further strengthens the UAE’s position as a leader in digital health.”

Digital Transformation in Healthcare

Ali Al Ajmi said that the Unified National Health Platform, which uses encryption technology to protect health information through a secure network, aims to bring about fundamental changes in the digital transformation of the UAE’s healthcare industry.

The entry of ‘Malaffi’ and the DHA’s ‘Nabidh’ project into the Riayati platform has resulted in a significant increase in the number of medical records available on the system. To date, the Riayati platform contains 1.9 billion medical records for 9.5 million patients, accessible to more than 90,000 healthcare providers at 3,057 healthcare facilities.

Al Ajmi emphasized that the private sector plays a vital role in the success of the ‘Riayati’ platform and said the Ministry is pleased with the increasing participation of private entities in the platform. Their participation is important to the project’s success and helps bring healthcare services up to international standards, he added.

Stressing the importance of collaboration in creating a world-class healthcare model, Dr. Mohammad Al Redha said that the successful integration of the three platforms is the result of a high level of alignment and common goals between MoHAP, DHA and DoH.

The platform integration will facilitate access to patient health information for doctors and healthcare providers across the UAE, improving patient care. Additionally, healthcare providers will have access to more than 1.4 billion health records from 2,500 healthcare organizations associated with Malaffi,” added Denson.
