Giant tapestry made with 700kg of flowers took nearly 16 hours
Healthcare workers from Abu Dhabi’s Burjeel Medical City celebrated India’s Onam festival by creating a 250-square-meter floral rug, depicting Abu Dhabi’s growth as a global hub.
Stunning floral displays depict key Abu Dhabi landmarks, including the ancient Qasr Al Hossan Palace, the unique Aldar headquarters and the revered Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
More than 400 medical staff from 12 countries spent nearly 16 hours to accomplish this floral miracle with 700 kilograms of flowers.
Famous buildings such as Al Bahar Tower, Etihad Tower, Capital Gate Building and NBAD Headquarters also appear in this magnificent visual tribute.
Up to 44 medical staff also performed the traditional dance Thiruvathira around the giant floral carpet.
