Another winner is about to move to the Philippines and hopes to use the prize money to help educate the country’s less fortunate children
American aerospace engineer Andre now has the chance to enjoy a lavish wedding in March after winning second prize in the latest Mahzooz draw.
The expat matched four of the five winning numbers, sharing the Dh1 million prize with 20 other winners. They each left with Dh47,619.
“I’m so happy! It’s a lot of money; so my fiancé and I will set aside some for our wedding and honeymoon,” said the Dubai resident, who has lived in the UAE for 15 years.
Christopher – a 52-year-old British expatriate civil engineer – said he now has a new purpose in life because of the victory.
After nearly 30 years in the UAE, he will move to the Philippines with his family in January. He intends to use some of his winnings to buy school supplies and lunches to help educate the country’s less fortunate children.
