Five Filipino nationals in the UAE were reportedly arrested in Sharjah after an indecent video was posted on the popular social media platform TikTok.Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and Northern Emirates told harrij times They are closely following the case.
Filipinos uploaded a video “just for fun,” unaware that it would land them in legal trouble, according to Philippine media reports. “They were mistaken for prostitutes,” said the sibling of one of the suspects.

Susan ‘Toots’ Ople, secretary of the Philippine government’s Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), said officials are now awaiting the timetable for the court hearing.
“The UAE is strictly enforcing its cyber laws and is also very sensitive to violations of its customs and ethics. Their culture is different, so we have to be very, very respectful,” Opry told Philippine media.
