Italian Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani today discussed prospects for further enhanced cooperation.
The UAE’s top diplomat met his Italian counterpart in Abu Dhabi on Sunday to discuss bilateral cooperation in various fields, with particular emphasis on economics, trade, energy and others.
The two sides also reviewed climate action cooperation in light of the UAE hosting COP28 in Dubai at the end of this year.
In addition to the regional situation, the two ministers also exchanged views on many issues of regional and international concern.
Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the deep relationship between the UAE and Italy and their ongoing cooperation to develop a strategic partnership to serve their mutual interests and benefit their peoples.
As far as the top Italian diplomat is concerned, he expressed Italy’s determination to strengthen cooperation with the UAE and highlighted the strength of the relationship between the two countries.
He also wished the UAE a successful COP28 this year, commending the country’s efforts in tackling global climate action and its pioneering initiatives to promote clean and renewable energy solutions globally.
The meeting was attended by Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi and Minister of State Noura bint Mohammad Kabi.
