His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, attended the 12th Annual Investment Conference (AIM Global 2023), which is Dhabi National Exhibition Center (Adnec) is held for the first time in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
During his visit to the event sponsored by His Highness, Sheikh Khaled met key policy makers, industry experts, investors and senior representatives of local and global companies providing smart city solutions and technology services.
He also visited several national pavilions as well as those of local and international entities and companies.
Sheikh Khaled’s visit included a visit to the Sustainable Cities Pavilion, which provides a working model for future cities guided by the three pillars of sustainable development, social, environmental and economic.
He also visited the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) pavilion and was briefed by US$4 billion unicorns keen to explore investments to establish local presence in Abu Dhabi. In addition, he visited the entrepreneurship exhibition space of 190 SMEs from more than 80 countries under Hub71.
His Highness was accompanied by Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade; Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, Chairman, Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development; and Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary General, Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
Al Zaabi said: “As intergenerational development impacts and reshapes the global economy, we must convene key players to discuss and develop strategies to capitalize on the potential opportunities that are emerging. Backed by strong fundamentals and a strategic vision for sustainable growth Putting human development first, Abu Dhabi’s falconry economy is booming.
“Our recently released GDP figures reaffirm Abu Dhabi’s economic competitiveness, strength and resilience, growing by 9.3% in 2022, the highest growth rate in the MENA region.”
Organized by ADDED and supported by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, the event is entitled: Investing Paradigm Shifts: Future Investment Opportunities for Sustainable Economic Growth, Diversity and Prosperity”.
More than 16,000 attendees from some 170 countries around the world attended the event, which included more than 100 dialogue sessions and more than 600 speakers, featuring business and academic experts in finance and economics.
