Local authorities have announced new housing projects on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi’s Sibaniyas and Al Samha districts, comprising 1,742 villas at a cost of more than AED7 billion.
The Sibaniyas residential project includes the construction of 1,500 residential villas, 8 mosques and 14 commercial buildings, gardens, public facilities and services. It is under construction on a site of 584.7 hectares at a total cost of more than AED6.3 billion and is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2027.
The Al Samha project includes 242 residential villas, two mosques and a range of retail units. The project, which is under construction and covers an area of ​​53.4 hectares at a total cost of more than AED734 million, is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2025.
To develop these projects, Abu Dhabi Housing Authority signed two agreements with Q Holding.
“The signing of the West Baniyas and Al Samha housing project development contract is to realize our leadership’s vision to ensure the stability and social well-being of citizens by developing integrated and sustainable housing communities that meet the needs of citizens and their families,” said the municipality and said Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Ministry of Transport and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority.
Al Shorafa highlighted the authority’s eagerness to develop and establish effective partnerships with the government and the private sector to develop innovative solutions to meet the social priorities of the housing sector in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, said that the provision of adequate housing according to the highest technical specifications and taking into account the needs of Emirati families is at the top of the agency’s strategic priorities, which are in line with the directives of the UAE’s wise leadership.
“The signing of the contracts for the West Baniyas and Al Samha projects helps the authorities continue their efforts to deliver groundbreaking housing options and solutions, their implementation falling within the framework of the UAE Neighborhood Projects Initiative, modeled on groundbreaking integrated residential communities.”
Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the Board of Q Holding, said the projects will create vibrant residential communities in West Baniyas and Al Samha.
“Our partnership with Abu Dhabi Housing Authority will help optimize the use of the company’s expertise in real estate development to support the authority’s efforts to develop housing systems in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, as evidenced by the sustainability of these projects ’, added Al Hamed.
