UAE: Announces 50% reduction in fines for environmental violations – News

Residents subject to environmental penalties in Ras Al Khaimah will receive a 50 percent discount on their fines, the local authority announced on Wednesday.

The reduction in fines is part of the emirate’s move to celebrate the 51st National Day, according to a senior official in the Ministry of General Affairs.

It is also trying to raise community awareness of the responsibility to keep the environment clean and green, the official added.
