The track of the Emirates Racing Association (ERA) will hold a total of 61 meetings between 2023 and 2024 after the schedule has been approved by Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Na His Highness Hayan’s approval of the Presidential Court and ERA Chairman.
The racing season in the UAE begins on October 28 at the Al Ain Racecourse and continues the following day at the Longines Racecourse in Sharjah. The Jebel Ali Racecourse will open for the first time on November 4, with the race in Abu Dhabi starting on November 9. The first of 15 races at the Dubai Racing Carnival will take place on opening night at the Meydan Racecourse on Friday 10 November. The Dubai World Cup card will take place on March 30.
His Highness Sheikh Mansour said: “We are delighted to announce the horse racing program for 2023-2024 and look forward to another successful racing season for trainers, owners and all involved at racecourses across the UAE.
“We offer national and international racing for Thoroughbreds and Thoroughbred Arabians. We are eager to put on another great show for everyone from 28th October this year.
He continued: “Last season has been phenomenal in terms of changes and improvements across the board. It has elevated the competitiveness and professionalism of UAE racing and its appeal to runners from all over the world.”
