The Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) has announced that it has now stepped up inspections of private schools to ensure they are fully prepared for the new school year (2022-2023).

SPEA director Ali Al Hosani said the inspection focused on the correct implementation of corrective plans regarding the condition of certain school building facilities. The plan has been put in place by the authorities to ensure the safe return of students and a successful start to the new school year.

He added that SPEA issued a strict set of guidelines on Monday, August 21, the opening day for school administrators and staff, regarding the precautionary measures to be implemented for the upcoming school year. The guidelines are then distributed to all private school administrations.

Al Hosani calls on all schools to implement and comply with these guidelines with the aim of creating a healthy environment for the education community. He further commended the efforts of school administrators to support the educational process and properly implement the plans developed by SPEA.

According to him, SPEA is focusing on developing Sharjah’s private education sector on its plans and objectives. The strategic plan aims to undertake a qualitative transformation of the entire system next year in order to realize the vision set by the UAE for the next fifty years.

Al Hosani said SPEA will continue to follow up with private schools and provide the necessary support, hoping that these educational institutions will fulfill their responsibilities to students and the educational community to ensure that they receive an excellent standard of education.

The cooperation and response of private school management has had the greatest impact on the development of the UAE’s private education system.

These schools have made a huge contribution to keeping up with the educational developments that Sharjah has witnessed – all with the extensive care of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council of Sharjah and Ruler, Support and attention.
