Delivery men can be seen throughout the UAE throughout the day during the holy month of Ramadan. Especially around Iftar, the roads are packed with riders eager to make timely deliveries.
Their efforts have not gone unnoticed. Noon founder Mohamed Alabbar broke his fast with the delivery man in a warm gesture. He also visited a factory in Namshi during the holy month to meet workers.
“I would like to thank the Noon and Namshi frontline teams for their tireless service this Ramadan. Thank you for all the hard work and passion you bring to Noon and Namshi every day!” he posted on Instagram.
The businessman shared the moment with his social media followers in an Instagram post. In the video, the billionaire can be seen chatting with the delivery man as he humbly offers him an iftar meal.
He spends time with delivery people who work for “Noon in 15 minutes,” a delivery feature of the Noon app that allows groceries and other essentials to reach users within 15 minutes.
The businessman was then seen visiting a factory in Namshi, interacting with workers. Alabbar laughs with a worker and pats him on the back as he walks around the factory.
During Ramadan this year, food delivery apps received a large number of orders around iftar time. However, in order to respond effectively, many apps indicate on the platform that it may take some time to be delivered, while other apps suspend delivery for half an hour.
