With the approval of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and the UAE Cabinet Minister were sworn in today at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi.
The ceremony was held after His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid announced the establishment of a new UAE Cabinet after consulting His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and obtaining the approval of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa.
Seven ministers were sworn in and led by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Dubai.
During the ceremony, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed said: “Today, my brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed, participated in the oath ceremony of the new cabinet of the UAE. The new method of our cabinet is very clear, and there is a more effective government. Get closer to the people, put people first, and aim to let everyone live a better life.”
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed added that the new reorganization aims to double the country’s achievements and realize the aspirations of the people in the next 50 years, emphasizing the vision of His Highness President Sheikh Khalifa to keep pace with the rapid development of all walks of life.
“The UAE’s cabinet has the responsibility to modernize the government’s work and implement the new methods we have adopted. The goal is clear to make the UAE a leading country in the world,” he added.
He emphasized: “Our government work, our tools and policies have changed. We have different government seasons, as well as qualitative projects and achievements in our national and international archives.”
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed emphasized that under the leadership of His Highness President Sheikh Khalifa, the UAE is moving towards realizing the people’s ambitions and aspirations. “We always look to the future with optimism and determination.”
“We look forward to starting the upcoming 50 years with greater development mobility and further development of government work and the national economy,” he added.
Future government work will have a clear foundation. He further added that the “50th Century Principles” will enhance its efficiency in achieving national ambitions and overall leadership.
Ministers sworn in include Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler and Minister of Finance of Dubai; Mohammed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs; Mariam Hareb Almheiri, Minister of Climate Change and Environment; Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmanan Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emirate; Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, Minister of Justice; Minister of Affairs of the Supreme Council of the Federation, Abdullah bin Muhail Al Katebi and State Affairs Minister Hamad bin Mubarak Shamsi.
The ministers expressed their gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed for their trust.
