The UAE expressed concern over the recent tensions on the border between Serbia and Kosovo, stressing the need to de-escalate the situation, resume dialogue and respect the rules and principles of international law.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) underscored the deep relationship and close friendship between the UAE and Kosovo and Serbia, underlined Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s visit to Belgrade during his regional visit and Pristina for a visit March 2023.

The ministry said the UAE hoped that the two countries would resume their commitment to the EU to promote dialogue and implement the agreement on the normalization of relations reached in Brussels in February and the roadmap agreed in Ohrid, North Macedonia. The way to peace and prosperity for the people of Serbia and Kosovo, and for the entire region.
