The UAE will organise a special ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations with Egypt. This comes as a Cabinet meeting discusses UAE-Egypt bilateral relations.
“Our countries remain in close contact… We instructed (authorities) to organise the celebration of the 50th anniversary of UAE-Egypt relations,” said Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Mak, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of the UAE His Highness Thum wrote on Twitter. Dubai, at the end of the conference.
The ceremony will be held under the slogan “UAE and Egypt…One Heart”. These include a three-day event in the Egyptian capital Cairo in October. Details of the event will be announced in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the UAE Cabinet meeting approved several decisions to implement the unemployment insurance system. Social security programs protect employees until they find a new job.
In addition, the meeting endorsed the UAE’s participation in the Natural Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF); an ambitious coalition to end plastic pollution by 2040; and the Supplementary Protocol to the Convention on the Suppression of Unlawful Seizures of Aircraft, promulgated in Beijing in 2010.
