UAE commits to strategy to include people of determination

Dubai: The success and overwhelming participation in the 4th AccessAbilities Expo is a testament to the UAE’s commitment to following a sustainable development strategy, integrating people of determination into our society, and channeling their capabilities for economic growth, said His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Said De Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Group.

The 4th AccessAbilities Expo and the 3rd Dubai Accessible Tourism International Summit (DATTIS) concluded successfully at the Dubai World Trade Center with a call to effectively increase inclusion for people of determination and make the UAE more friendly to them. The three-day expo and summit was well received by government agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), companies and the general public.

“This year’s Expo has been a huge success, with a 20% increase in exhibitor numbers and a 15% increase in visitor numbers, in addition to showcasing a host of advanced and innovative products that facilitate the lives of determined people,” said Mr Ghassan Suleiman Ahmaz, Managing Director of the Exhibition and Managing Director of Nadd Al Shiba PR & Event Management, organizer of AccessAbilities Expo.

Up to 250 international companies and centers specializing in the rehabilitation of persons with disabilities from 50 countries around the world showcased at the Expo advanced technologies that facilitate the lives and mobility of people of determination. More than 10,000 people visited the Expo.

The strategic partners are the Ministry of Community Development, Dubai Police, RTA, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Health Authority, Community Development Authority, Dubai Ambulance Service, Dubai Customs, SANAD, Dubai Club of People of Resolve and Zayed People of Resolve Human Senior Organization.

Dubai Clemenceau Medical Center Hospital is the healthcare partner and Du Telecom is the telecommunications partner.

Speaking at DATTIS, His Excellency Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing Company (DCTCM), said Dubai has revised up its tourism target to receive 25 million tourists by 2025, driven by the fastest recovery from the pandemic and visitor numbers. surge of encouragement.

The 3rd Dubai Accessible Tourism International Summit (DATTIS) produced 59 key recommendations to address key challenges faced by people of determination or people with disabilities (PwD) in the global mobility, hospitality and tourism sectors.
