Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has stressed that the UAE is committed to ensuring a sustainable and prosperous future for young people.
On the occasion of UAE Children’s Day, Sheikh Mohammed tweeted: “Through everything we do today, we seek to create a better world for our children tomorrow. On this UAE Children’s Day, we reaffirm The UAE is committed to accelerating efforts to ensure a sustainable and prosperous future for our youth and future generations.”
UAE Children’s Day is a national holiday celebrated on 15th March. This coincides with the publication of Federal Law No. 3 of 2016 on Children’s Rights (also known as the Wadeema Law) on March 15, 2016.
UAE Children’s Day aims to raise public awareness of children’s rights and welfare so that children have access to a healthy, safe and supportive environment for development.
The UAE government has made significant progress in ensuring its youth have access to quality education, healthcare and social services. The country also prioritizes innovation and entrepreneurship, encouraging young people to play an active role in shaping the country’s future.
As part of the UAE Children’s Day celebrations, various events and activities are organized across the country to emphasize the importance of investing in the development of young generations.
