“This is in line with the Ministry of Health’s plan to provide Covid-19 vaccine to all members of society and is also part of the effort to achieve acquired immunity…This will help reduce the number of cases and control the Covid-19 virus,” added the Ministry.

For doctors in the country, mass vaccination campaigns have proven to be effective, as cases have fallen sharply Last month there was an increase of more than 60%.

Dr. Abdul Aneez, Medical Director of Medeor Hospital in Dubai, said: “It’s exciting to learn that the UAE is quickly vaccinating its people against Covid-19. Today, (Saturday) this country has achieved another milestone. This is a vaccine for all countries in the world. A commendable record in the vaccination work.”

He said that the UAE has gone a step further and people are now getting boosted injections.

“It is this step that strengthens immunity and greatly promotes the development of herd immunity,” Dr. Aneez added.

Continuous vaccination work can ensure that the population is immune to disease. “In addition, we have obtained evidence from research that shows that immunity will gradually weaken within a few months. It is at this point that the booster dose takes effect to continue to maintain the immune level of the population,” the doctor said.

He praised the UAE leadership, government, Mohab and all medical staff for this great achievement. “It is also a feat when we fight an invisible enemy that brought the world to a standstill,” he added.
