Residents of Abu Dhabi will enjoy free parking during the Eid holidays, the Integrated Transport Center (ITC) of the UAE Ministry of Municipalities and Transport confirmed on Wednesday.
Mawaqif surface parking fees will be free from Thursday 20 April until the end of the holiday. According to the USITC, the Musaffah M-18 truck park will also be charged free during Eid.
From Thursday, the Darb toll system will be free for the holiday period. Toll gate charges will be reinstated during peak hours (7am to 9am and 5pm to 7pm) after the Hari Raya holiday.
The ITC is urging drivers to avoid parking and obstructing traffic in restricted areas. It urged them to park properly in designated areas and avoid parking in residential parking spaces between 9pm and 8am.
Customer Happiness Centers across Abu Dhabi will be closed for the holiday period from Thursday 20th April until the end of the holiday. In addition, clients can continue to apply for ITC’s services online using ITC’s website, the Darbi and Darb websites and apps, and through the TAMM platform.
Customers can call 800850 or the taxi call center: 600535353 to contact the Unified Service Support Center of the Ministry of Municipalities and Transport for 24/7 service.
Public bus services in the emirate will operate on a regular timetable during the holiday period, with increased frequency of regional buses based on demand. In addition, ITC has coordinated with private sector operators to increase the number of intercity bus services in a manner commensurate with the expected increase in service demand.
Additionally, Abu Dhabi Express and Abu Dhabi Link bus services will operate from 6am to 11pm during the holiday period.
