A new survey by Bayt.com, the Middle East’s leading career website, examines the key factors driving employee loyalty to the workplace.

The data shows that 44% of employees surveyed have worked for their current company for four years or more, and more than three-fifths of employees are satisfied with their current employer.

Loyal employees who are engaged and satisfied at work are the cornerstone of a business. More than half (62%) of employees would recommend their company to others as a good place to work, and 70% take pride in talking about their company’s products and services.

High levels of loyalty and engagement can also improve a business’ financial performance. A whopping 87% of employees feel highly engaged in their day-to-day work.

“According to our latest survey, employers are investing in technology and training to support remote work and ensure employees have the resources they need to perform their duties successfully,” said Ola Haddad, Director of Human Resources at Bayt.com. It’s also important for organizations to acknowledge the importance of employee recognition programs Important because it leads to higher job satisfaction and motivation. Additionally, offering a competitive salary and benefits package can attract and retain top talent in the industry.”

In terms of business benefits, engaged and committed employees are more productive, more creative, and reduce costs. Survey data shows that better quality of work (72%), higher productivity (63%) and effort (68%) are the most important benefits of employee loyalty.

New research highlights that having an employee engagement strategy can give employers a competitive advantage in recruiting, retaining and engaging employees.

The survey also showed that employees want their employers to foster a positive culture.

Data on 2023 Bayt.com employee loyalty from the MENA survey was collected online from February 27 to March 10, 2023. Results based on a sample of 2,040 respondents from countries such as UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Palestine, Syria, Yemen, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya and Sudan et al.
