United Arab Emirates – In a major move, the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI) has activated digital signature and verification capabilities in UAE Pass for its engineering project contracts, allowing consultants and contractors to sign bids and contracts electronically using UAE Pass, All while maintaining the highest levels of information privacy and protection.
The announcement was made today (April 4) by Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, who said: “The move aims to automate services related to engineering project contracts. This reflects MoEI’s efforts to keep pace with digital transformation. strong will to leverage modern technological solutions to streamline processes and improve customer experience.”
“Digital transformation is a key enabler in shaping a better future, which is in line with our leadership’s aspirations, even as the UAE becomes one of the most digitalized countries in the world,” he said.
“At MoEI, we seek to adopt innovative tools and approaches to improve our performance and products in line with the UAE Government’s Service Excellence Initiative,” he added.
