Two weeks ago, the wife of the lucky winner won 1,000 dirhams in the Mahzooz draw.
An Indian expatriate participating in the Mahzooz Millionaire Draw in Dubai at the last minute completely changed his life and made him a millionaire overnight.
Dubai resident Mir participated in the draw five hours before the winner was announced and became the 15th millionaire of Mahzooz this year.
The Indian national won the prize and won 1 million dirhams, the second prize in the 44th weekly live Mahzooz draw. He matched five of the six winning numbers.
The excited 34-year-old sales manager said: “Five hours before the on-site lucky draw, I felt it necessary to buy a bottle of water to participate in the lucky draw. Because I was busy running errands, I couldn’t check the results.”
“My wife, who is also an active participant, won 1,000 dirhams two weeks ago. So, I thought I could win too, but in my craziest dream, I never thought I would win and change One million dirhams in life,” Mill said happily.
The morning after the tie, Mill learned of his big victory.
“When I received a call at work, telling me that I had won 1 million dirhams — at first I thought it was a prank call from a radio station or something. When I realized that the call was real, I was speechless. Wordless. I’m just happy,” Mill said.
This young man moved to Dubai from his hometown of Hyderabad, India, 12 years ago for higher education. But when he found a lucrative job in the emirate, he decided to drop out of school.

“Last year, I decided to continue my studies and improve my professional skills. So, I went back to university. Now, thanks to Mahzooz, I have enough money to not only study for my master’s degree, but also to live a comfortable life and realize my dream.”
He firmly believes that education is the answer to many problems in the world, and he also plans to use part of his bonus to fund the education of some poor students in India.
Both Mir and his wife said that it was Mahzooz’s humanitarian aspect that encouraged them to participate in the lottery on a regular basis.
“Mahzooz distributes the bottled water we bought to those in need and participates in the lottery. It makes me feel that this is a meaningful experience because it allows me to help others and also has the opportunity to make my dreams come true,” Mill Say.
He added: “I would suggest that people continue to participate in the lottery because it can change anyone’s life. I am a living example of a person participating and winning at a critical moment! Mahzooz proved to me that miracles do happen.”
People can register through www.mahzooz.ae and purchase a bottle of water to participate in Mahzooz. Every bottle purchased (priced at 35 dirhams) is eligible to participate in the lottery, and donations will be provided through Mahzooz’s community partners to hydrate those in need.
The next draw will be held as scheduled on October 2nd at 9pm UAE time.
