The airline has signed an agreement with a Pakistani laboratory for testing at the airport.
Pakistan has set up laboratories at all its international airports to conduct rapid PCR testing on passengers travelling to the UAE.
Airline officials said that passengers flying from Pakistan to Abu Dhabi and Sharjah are undergoing rapid PCR testing at the airport.
“Rapid PCR tests for flights to Abu Dhabi and Sharjah have started, and passengers are carrying reports. It can be used at international airports in Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Multan, and Sialkot. Important Yes, all laboratories are also located on the premises of these airports,” said Sohail Nazar, the UAE regional manager of Pakistan’s largest private airline Airblue.
Nazar said that they are still waiting for the Dubai authorities to approve rapid PCR testing.
The UAE has recently lifted the travel ban on passengers from Pakistan and five other countries, including India, but it is mandatory for passengers to undergo rapid PCR testing, which should be performed at the airport.

Passengers are required to arrive at the international airport six hours before departure for a rapid PCR test.

Pakistani media quoted the Pakistan Civil Aviation Administration as saying that passengers travelling to the UAE can undergo rapid PCR testing at all international airports in the country.
Dr. Rehan Uppal, Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Islamabad Diagnostic Center (IDC), said his organization has been providing the test within one hour for the past two months.
The company has also established rapid PCR testing facilities at the international airports in Islamabad and Lahore.
