UAE flights: the joy and relief of stranded students after returning to school-News

[ad_1]

The students are very happy to return to the UAE as the school will reopen in September after the summer vacation

Several UAE students who were stranded in India after the flight was suspended said that since the school will reopen in September after the summer vacation, the timing for the flight to resume couldn’t be better.

In an interview with Khaleej Times, most students expressed their joy and gratification to be able to return to the UAE and its schools.

Subhiksha, a grade 12 student from the Gulf Indian High School, thanked the UAE authorities for their emphasis on education and included students and teachers in the categories allowed to return to the UAE. “I am worried because I have to appear on my board of directors. When preparing for these important exams, what we pursue is studying at school. Finally, the wait is over,” she said in India.

In addition to fully vaccinated residents (two doses of the vaccine have been vaccinated in the UAE), the UAE has announced that unvaccinated students and teachers will be allowed to fly to the UAE from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Nigeria and Uganda.

“We ran into some problems during online classes in India, and this news gave us a sigh of relief,” Subhiksha said.

Syed Ayan is a 10th grade student at Dubai Indian High School. He went to his hometown of Bhatkal, Karnataka in May. He said, “I am in pain because I only took online courses and had to take the 10th grade board exam. Because it’s not ideal for these important exams. Many of us trapped students used to miss classes frequently due to power outages and connection problems.

“We have been taking online courses for a year and a half, and I have always been eager to go back to school,” Ayan added in a speech in Karnataka.

Nivedha Prabhu, the mother of Agnay, a first-year student at GEMS Modern Academy, said she was worried about her son taking online courses in India. She said that they live in the suburbs of Chennai, India, and the resources requested by her son’s school are not easily available in her hometown. “I came to India to deliver my second child in January and have been stranded ever since. Since the school curriculum resumed in September, I have been watching news about the resumption of flights in newspapers and websites.

“Early absence from school can have a huge impact on the future of the child. I can breathe easily now,” Prabhu added, and she looks forward to returning to the UAE soon.
