UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed receives UK Secretary of State

Abu Dhabi [UAE], June 24 (ANI/WAM): UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with British Foreign Secretary for the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia and the United Nations Tariq Al Lord Ahmed and the Office for Development and the Prime Minister’s Special Representative for the Prevention of Violence in Conflict. During the meeting in Abu Dhabi, the two sides reviewed the friendly relations and joint cooperation and partnership between the two countries.

They also addressed a number of files of common interest and discussed the protection of civilians in conflict-affected areas and the importance of providing them with support and humanitarian response. The two foreign ministers reviewed joint cooperation within the framework of international organizations, and spoke of the importance of strengthening regional and world security, peace and stability, and meeting people’s aspirations for development and prosperity.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and Lord Tariq Ahmed highlighted the depth of the UAE-UK relationship and the distinguished strategic partnership the two countries enjoy in various fields. (ANI/WAM)
