Sharjah police have arrested four people for a string of vehicle thefts in the emirate.
Colonel Hamid Saeed Al-Jallaf, acting chief of the Central Regional Police, said the department had received several reports of many vehicles being stolen after their owners had left their keys at home.
He said that the police immediately formed a criminal investigation team to collect evidence and successfully locked three suspects. They were arrested one by one.

The acting commissioner of Central Police said the three suspects admitted they had a fourth partner who bought and sold the stolen vehicles without a contract showing the transfer of title. All four were arrested and handed over to the Sharjah Public Prosecution to complete the investigation.
Police managed to return all stolen vehicles to their owners.
Colonel Al-Jallaf called on car owners to ensure their vehicles are locked before leaving and not to leave the keys in the car for any reason. He also emphasized that vehicles should be parked in a safe place to prevent thieves from taking advantage of them.
