The crown prince of Dubai met with top high school students and issued orders to provide them with financial incentives and scholarships to prestigious universities. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum met the high achievers at Emirates Towers and encouraged them to continue their excellence.

An intelligent electronic system identified the top 50 male and female high school students for the 2021-22 school year. These included 25 Emiratis and 25 expatriates. The cohort includes Year 12 and Year 13 graduates.

Sheikh Hamdan announced the scheme earlier this year to recognize and reward top students in Dubai. UAE students can get scholarships at the most prestigious international universities both in the country and abroad. Expatriates receive financial aid at international university branches in free zones and are given priority for golden visas.

Students graduating from their respective programs in the 2021-22 school year come from public and private schools and a variety of programs.

The Smart Electronic System, in coordination with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) and public and private schools in Dubai, standardizes high school grades for different subjects to ensure fairness when calculating grades.

“Emirati youth are the backbone of the country’s development and the country’s best hope for success. In Dubai, we remain committed to developing their skills and enhancing their participation in nation-building. I call on high-achieving students and all graduates to complete a studies, adding qualitative value to market needs in strategic priority areas, which are particularly important to the local economic system. We remain keen to invest in your capabilities and provide all the facilities to support your journey so that you can excel and lead in Dubai A new chapter is being written. We see your future as top performers and an inspiration to other young people,” Sheikh Hamdan told the students.

The system was inspired by the gesture of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in recognition of outstanding high school students in the UAE. Earlier this year, the UAE Vice President called and congratulated the top performers in the final public exams.

Meanwhile, the heads of Dubai’s government entities applauded Dubai’s strategy to recognize and reward top academic achievers and engage young graduate representatives in anticipating and creating the future.
