UAE golden visa holders can now bring parents for 10 years

[ad_1]

Abu Dhabi: Golden Visa holders in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) can now grant their parents a 10-year residence visa.

The decision is part of the Golden Visa extension scheme that came into force in the UAE on October 3.

Previously, like ordinary residency holders, they were only allowed to bring their parents to the UAE for one year.

The development was confirmed by the Commonwealth of Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP).

According to the official website of the UAE government, regular residence visa holders can sponsor their parents if their monthly salary is at least AED 20,000 and above. This salary prerequisite also does not apply to Golden Visa holders.

Since it was first launched, hundreds of thousands of Golden Visas have been issued to eligible residents.

About UAE Golden Visa and Extension

Created by the UAE government in 2019, the Golden Visa allows foreigners to live, work and study in the country without a state sponsor and take 100% business ownership in the UAE mainland.

These visas are valid for 5 or 10 years and are automatically renewed.

The visa is open to investors, entrepreneurs, exceptional talents and researchers in many technical and intellectual disciplines, as well as bright students.

Managers, CEOs and specialists in research, engineering, health, education, business administration and technology are now eligible for the Golden Visa. In addition, the process of obtaining long-term residency has been simplified for trained professional residents, investors, entrepreneurs, scientists, pioneers, top students and graduates.

On October 3, a new residency and visitor visa regime came into force in the United Arab Emirates. It adds new entry and residence permits, simplifies existing options and creates new residence pathways.

One of the changes is the extension of the golden visa scheme, which now allows other types of individuals to obtain the coveted 10-year visa.

The residence status of Golden Visa holders will not be affected by staying outside the UAE for more than six months. Golden Visa holders can sponsor children of any age. Additionally, there is no limit to the number of support staff they can sponsor.

The minimum monthly salary for long-term residency has been reduced from Dh50,000 to Dh30,000, allowing more qualified professionals to apply. These visas can be obtained by professionals in the medical, engineering, information technology, business, administrative, educational, legal, cultural and social sectors.
