The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE) confirmed on Wednesday the UAE Cabinet resolution announced in May to increase the percentage of Emirati employees in private sector companies with more than 50 employees by 2 percent, conditional on their employment in skilled work.
“The Ministry is closely monitoring the procedures related to Emiratisation, which procedures companies are following and the types of jobs they are offering to UAE nationals. However, we stress that for companies to achieve the goal of Emiratisation, it is necessary for them to hire Emiratis in the Skilled work,” the ministry said on its official Twitter account today.
“Non-compliant companies that fail to achieve the goal of emiratization will face fines by January 2023,” the ministry added.
