He added that a police patrol and State Ambulance arrived at the scene of the accident and found the deceased had parked his truck on the side of the road and got out. The truck driven by the Asian driver hit the parked truck and the truck then ran over the victim, who died at the scene. The driver fled the scene.
The body of the deceased was taken to the hospital.

Brigadier General Al Naqbi said advanced surveillance cameras installed on the road helped track the vehicle until it was spotted parked in an area of ​​the emirate of Sharjah.
Accordingly, in coordination with the Sharjah Police General Command, the offending driver has been arrested.
He was handed over to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal measures in preparation for his handover to the Public Prosecution.
The Ras Al Khaimah Police Command is appealing to the public to quickly report any traffic accidents as it has the technical and human capabilities to identify the perpetrators.
Police urged motorists to drive carefully, especially in residential areas, to avoid such accidents from happening again.
Ras Al Khaimah police said fleeing the scene of an accident is a crime punishable by law under federal traffic laws.
