UAE: Indian businessman with starting salary of AED 1,200 obtains golden visa-News

In 2000, a native of Mumbai opened Pride Trading to operate general trading business.

Satish Jaisinghani, an Indian expatriate from Al Ain, is a salesman who has obtained a 10-year UAE Golden Visa. Jaisinghani runs a medical supplies company and a uniform production department for hospital staff in Garden City, UAE.

The 62-year-old grandfather Jaisinghani started his career in the UAE in 1984 with a monthly salary of AED 1,200. Fast forward 37 years and he now manages multiple companies in different industries.

“I started as a sales representative in a printing plant in Abu Dhabi. Although my salary is low, my responsibilities are relatively high. 17 years of working in a corporate culture is the learning curve for me to start my own business,” he said.

In 2000, a native of Mumbai opened Pride Trading to operate general trading business. Two years later, he entered the textile industry as a showroom for kandora and other clothing. Both companies have done a good job and have become a stepping stone for the establishment of the uniform manufacturing unit-International Uniforms in 2004.

After his eldest son Rohit completed his Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D), Jaisinghani ventured into the medical supplies industry.

“In 2012, Kiwi Medical Supplies was born. My son joined the company, and the company has become one of the country’s leading suppliers of surgical and disinfection products, specializing in providing services to the hospital’s Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD). It is essential for safe surgery,” Jaisinghani said.

His youngest son, Nikhil, joined him after receiving a bachelor’s degree in business administration. “Nikhil took the lead in the establishment of a new company RAM Computer Technologies, which is interested in IT infrastructure.”

At the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, when surgical resources from abroad became scarce, Jaisinghani opened his own manufacturing plant in Al Ain.

“Needs is the mother of invention. The scarcity of resources led us to start our own manufacturing department, Kent Surgical Industries. This is in line with the Abu Dhabi government’s “Made in Abu Dhabi” initiative. We laid the foundation for the unit last year and further development is underway. China. We also distributed masks to front-line workers.”

After years of successful business, Jaisinghani fell in love with the UAE, so he applied for the golden visa he received last week.

“I have an investor visa. I thank the government and leadership for helping me reach every milestone in my life. Anyone who is honest, hardworking and determined can succeed in this country and realize their dreams.”
