An Indian expatriate living in Abu Dhabi was reportedly killed in multiple car accidents on the last day of Ramadan, according to his family.

Subeesh Chozhiyamparambath, from the Palakkad district of Kerala, passed away on Thursday, April 20, exactly one month before turning 36.

“This is multiple accidents in the Al Mafraq area. Subeesh was in the back seat with two other people. The car they were in was hit. Minor injuries,” his cousin told Khaleej Times.

Subeesh, who has lived in Abu Dhabi for the past two years, works for a landscaping company. He is looking forward to his marriage later this year.

“Subeesh is engaged. He plans to get married when he comes back later this year,” said his relative.

Subeesh and others were traveling from Al Samha, where he lives, to Mussafah for shopping ahead of the Eid holidays when the accident occurred.

“The Indian embassy helped with the necessary paperwork. Another cousin of ours will be flying back early Sunday with Subeesh’s body,” he added.
