president sheikh mohammed On Monday, Indonesian President Joko Widodo witnessed the signing of a series of agreements aimed at further strengthening relations between the two countries.
Announced at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center in Bali as part of Sheikh Mohammed’s visit to the G20 summit, the agreements include a climate action partnership in preparation for next year’s Cop28 in the UAE, and further cooperation on infrastructure development, artificial intelligence and other environmental issues.
The two allies will also collaborate on cybersecurity, while they have a grant agreement to fund Indonesia’s tuberculosis control program.
ADNOC and Indonesia’s Kilang Pertamina Internasional will collaborate in petrochemicals, while Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company, better known as Masdar, will team up with Pertamina Power Indonesia to develop a solar power plant in the Rokan block.
Other partnerships include the National Genome Initiative between Asaren Indonesia and G42 Healthcare, and a collaboration on renewable energy and storage between Masdar, Invest Indonesia and Pertamina Power Indonesia.
The announcement was attended by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidency; Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; Sheikh Mohammed bin Tahnoun, Special Adviser to the Presidential Court; Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; Dr. Thani Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade; and Ahmed Al Sayegh, Minister of State.
