Emiratis in Paris have been urged to be cautious as riots in French cities have erupted for a fourth night in a row.
The UAE embassy in Paris issued an alert on Saturday, urging citizens to stay away from demonstration areas.
“We stress the need to comply with the security instructions issued by the French authorities,” it said in the advisory.
In case of emergency, UAE citizens can call 0097180024 or 0097180044444.
Unrest spread across the country, including the cities of Marseille, Lyon, Toulouse, Strasbourg and Lille, with buildings and vehicles set on fire and shops looted.
Protests also continued in Paris, where Nahel M., a 17-year-old teenager of Algerian and Moroccan descent, was shot dead in a traffic jam on the outskirts of the French capital Nanterre on Tuesday. His funeral will take place later on Saturday, sources told Reuters.
