The UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation and the Emirates News Agency have signed an agreement to enhance media coverage of the organization’s initiatives across a range of traditional and contemporary platforms, both inside and outside the UAE, and in various languages.
The federation aims to contribute to strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as the world’s “Jiu-jitsu capital” by leveraging WAM’s assets, including its international relationships and expertise, as well as its numerous agreements with various entities around the world .
The partnership coincides with the extensive expansion WAM is currently undertaking by expanding its language base and distribution platform to provide services both domestically and overseas. Given the institution’s wide-ranging global reach, the achievements of the UAE Champions will be disseminated globally to a wider audience.
The signing ceremony was attended by UAEJJF Chairman Abdul Moneim Al Hashemi and WAM Director General Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi.
The agreement was signed by Fahad Ali Al Shamsi, Secretary General of the UAE and Asian Jiu-Jitsu Federation, and Abdullah Abdul Karim, Acting Executive Director of WAM News Content.
Under the agreement, WAM will support the federation’s various activities aimed at promoting the sport and enhancing Abu Dhabi’s status as a leading venue for major international jiu-jitsu events, with 5,000 athletes from more than 100 countries participating. a status. The 14th Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championships runs until November 19 under the patronage of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Al Hashemi praised the role of sponsors and partners in shaping the success story of the sport in the UAE. “UAEJJF’s sponsors and partners are major contributors to the success and victories of our athletes in various forums. Their continued support will motivate our athletes to greater success in the future,” he said.
For his part, Al Rayssi thanked Al Hashemi and the Board of Directors of UAEJJF for their confidence in WAM’s capabilities.
“We are delighted to be working with the UAEJJF to promote their fruitful endeavours, both at home and abroad. WAM will spare no effort in supporting the federation’s efforts to help our champions reach even greater heights,” he added.
