UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation strengthens partnership with Emirates Red Crescent

Abu Dhabi: The Emirates Jiu-Jitsu Federation has signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Emirates Red Crescent, a leading humanitarian organization providing relief services across the globe. The partnership will strengthen collaboration between the two organizations and aims to support Jiu-Jitsu in the UAE and beyond.

Under the agreement, the ERC will provide support for all sporting events organized by the federation, as a continuation of the various efforts made last year. The signing ceremony took place during the 14th Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championships at the Ju-Jitsu Arena in Zayed Sports City from 11-19 November 2022.

His Excellency Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri, Vice-Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, and HE Hamoud Abdullah Al Junaibi, Secretary-General of the ERC Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), attended the event.

The agreement was signed by Fahad Ali Al Shamsi, Secretary General of UAEJJF, and HE Mohammed Yousef Al Fahim, Deputy Secretary General of ERC Support Services.

His Excellency Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri, Deputy Chairman of the UAEJJF, commended the ERC for its continued collaboration and ongoing efforts to assist the UAE community, especially youth.

“Through a variety of charitable and humanitarian endeavors, the Emirates Red Crescent plays an important role in assisting UAE society and the rest of the world. It is this national institution that enhances the value of volunteer programs and encourages philanthropy, making it a It’s ingrained in our youth culture,” he said.

Mohamed Hussain Al Marzooqi, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications, UAEJJF, said the agreement with the ERC was the third signed by the federation during ADWPJJC.

“We are working closely with our strategic partners who share similar goals to ensure the sport grows and prioritizes support for the next generation. The shared goal that unites us with our partners is to continue the legacy of Jiu-Jitsu This will ensure that sport is passed on to the next generation, that it grows stronger year after year as an ingrained culture in UAE society and provides our children with the opportunity to succeed in all international competitions,” he said Say.

Elsewhere, ERC Marketing Director Reef Al Khajah said the organization was proud to extend its partnership with the UAEJJF for the second consecutive year.

“ERC and UAEJJF share a goal of helping young people. This year, we are supporting the winners of the Makers of Determination category by providing humanitarian missions to the countries they represent,” she said.
