Abu Dhabi: The UAE delegation, led by Minister of State Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, actively participated in the 18th Extraordinary Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The session, held virtually, centered on the concerning issue of repeated desecration and burning of copies of the Holy Quran in Sweden and Denmark.
During the session, Minister Al Marar delivered a compelling statement, highlighting the UAE’s unwavering commitment to respecting religious symbols and sanctities.
He vehemently condemned any actions that run counter to human and moral values, including the reprehensible acts of burning and desecrating the Holy Quran. The UAE’s stance reflects its profound belief in the importance of safeguarding the sanctity of religious texts and promoting religious tolerance and harmony.
