The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre) has launched an automated system to complete employment contracts without human intervention.

The smart system is in line with the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2031, which aims to position the UAE as a global leader in artificial intelligence (AI) by developing a comprehensive framework to be adopted in key sectors of the UAE.

In the first two days the new system went live, more than 35,000 contracts, including new and renewal employment contracts, were completed and approved after signature verification by both parties, Moore said.

“The new system utilizes advanced technology to process and verify images, reducing the duration of each transaction from two days to just 30 minutes, while also minimizing human error,” the ministry said.

In October 2017, the UAE Cabinet adopted the UAE National Artificial Intelligence Strategy, which aims to improve government performance, accelerate transactions and develop an innovative work environment. The strategy will also focus on making the UAE government the first in the world to invest in AI in vital sectors and deliver 100% of frontline services through AI.

The strategy is a new phase after Smart Government as the foundation for future services and infrastructure in the UAE, in line with the goals of the UAE’s Centenary in 2071.

Mohre employs technologies such as awareness programs through self-directed services, WhatsApp channels, smart mobile applications, smart communication frameworks, Nafis platform and open data policies.

Customers can access self-directed service awareness programs through the ministry’s smart mobile app, which also offers more than 100 of the ministry’s services powered by artificial intelligence and big data.

The WhatsApp channel is available in Arabic and English, making Mohre the first federal entity to have a verified business account on the Meta-owned app.

The ministry also developed an intelligent communication system, becoming the first government department to actively implement it. It completes digital transactions through a remote working system and provides round-the-clock electronic services. The system has smart features that allow checking attachments and transaction data.
