Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Education (MoE) today announced a partnership agreement with the Abu Dhabi Cultural Programs and Heritage Festivals Committee to further enrich educational programs with cultural and heritage values ​​and themes.
As part of the partnership agreement, the parties will focus on five key areas, the first being a joint effort to enrich educational programs with Nabati poetry.
The second focus is the organization of cultural and educational events, including trips, festivals and book fairs.
The third area concerns initiatives related to the publication and integration of cultural and poetic publications into educational resources.
A fourth area involves student competitions and initiatives to discover and develop creative talent in poetry and folklore.
The final area focuses on supporting local and federal education agencies to implement the National Cultural Framework in schools from Kindergarten to third cycle.
The announcement is part of the ministry’s wide participation in the ongoing Abu Dhabi International Book Fair.

The agreement was signed by Education Minister Dr Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi and Abu Dhabi Police Commander-in-Chief Major General Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei in the presence of senior officials from both sides.
Commenting on the partnership, Dr Al Falasi highlighted the Ministry of Education’s commitment to strengthening students’ sense of belonging, national identity and pride in Emirati heritage. He noted that the Ministry of Education aims to work with entities in the public and private sectors to introduce programs and initiatives aimed at promoting students’ loyalty to the values ​​of the UAE and its leadership, while encouraging them to celebrate their national culture.
“We are proud to belong to a country with rich traditions and universal messages, and we are keen to increase students’ understanding of these values ​​so that they can continue to build on the UAE’s progress and preserve its culture and heritage for future generations Therefore, our collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Cultural Programs and Heritage Festival Committee echoes our commitment to enrich our educational curriculum and initiates programs and events organized and overseen by the Ministry of Education to highlight key elements of our culture,” Al Falasi Dr. added.
Major General Al Mazrouei said the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry is a continuation of joint efforts by both parties to preserve the fundamental pillars on which the national identity and its authentic elements are based. He added that building on the remarkable success of the “UAE Sana’a” program implemented by public and private schools, the collaboration reflects an ongoing joint effort to promote the UAE’s social values, principles, rules and national identity.
Furthermore, he emphasized that the MoU will promote collaboration with Emirati culture, folklore and Nabataean poetry in preserving local heritage and enriching educational curricula and programmes. It will also help raise awareness of the Emirati heritage among students at all levels, ensure the consolidation of social values ​​and promote the integration of education, culture and heritage, “which is an important catalyst and positive act for the development of society and the maintenance of moral virtues”.
