The platform was created by Yasser bin Mohammed, a UAE-based content creator with extensive experience in media and PR. Inspired by the traditional Emirati practice of ‘Janaza Al Emirate’—where communities gather to mourn—Yasser envisioned a modern counterpart to celebrate new life. “We have this beautiful tradition where we come together during difficult times,” he said. “I thought, why not create something similar to celebrate life instead?”
How UAE BORN Works
Launched in 2026, the platform allows parents to submit their newborn’s details—such as name, date of birth, and a photo—via an online form. This information is then shared on the platform’s social media channels, enabling the wider community to offer congratulations and blessings. “It’s a beautiful community occasion,” Yasser explained, “and every family celebrates it in their own special way.”

Beyond celebrating everyday births, UAE BORN features a special section highlighting notable individuals born in the UAE—from scientists and artists to media personalities. This segment connects the community to its shared heritage and celebrates local talent.
